We Believe In…

• The one true God who lives eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
• The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
• The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God – fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
• The dignity of all people, made male and female in God’s image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgment.
• The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ – born of the virgin Mary, truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
• The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
• The bodily resurrection of Christ, the first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
• The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
• The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
• The Church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers – given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit’s gifts to worship God and proclaim the Gospel, promoting justice and love.
• The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgment, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.

• O único Deus verdadeiro que vive eternamente em três pessoas: o Pai, o Filho e o Espírito Santo.
• O amor, a graça e a soberania de Deus em criar, sustentar, governar, redimir e julgar o mundo.
• A inspiração divina e a autoridade suprema das Escrituras do Antigo e do Novo Testamento, que são a Palavra de Deus escrita – totalmente digna de confiança para a fé e conduta.
• A dignidade de todas as pessoas, feitas homem e mulher à imagem de Deus para amar, ser santo e cuidar da criação, mas corrompido pelo pecado, que incorre na ira e julgamento divinos.
• A encarnação do Filho eterno de Deus, o Senhor Jesus Cristo – nascido da virgem Maria, verdadeiramente divino e verdadeiramente humano, mas sem pecado.
• O sacrifício expiatório de Cristo na cruz: morrer no nosso lugar, pagar o preço do pecado e derrotar o mal, reconciliando-nos assim com Deus.
• A ressurreição corporal de Cristo, os primeiros frutos da nossa ressurreição; a sua ascensão ao Pai, e o seu reinado e mediação como o único Salvador do mundo.
• A justificação dos pecadores unicamente pela graça de Deus através da fé em Cristo.
• O ministério de Deus o Espírito Santo, que nos leva ao arrependimento, une-nos a Cristo através do novo nascimento, fortalece o nosso discipulado e capacita o nosso testemunho.
• A Igreja, o corpo de Cristo tanto local como universal, o sacerdócio de todos os crentes – dado vida pelo Espírito e dotado com os dons do Espírito para adorar a Deus e proclamar o Evangelho, promovendo justiça e amor.
• O regresso pessoal e visível de Jesus Cristo para cumprir os propósitos de Deus, que elevará todas as pessoas a julgamento, trará vida eterna aos redimidos e condenação eterna aos perdidos, e estabelecerá um novo céu e uma nova terra.
